The Agricultural Holding Alicos produces and selects the best traditional Sicilian products, including both conventional and organic products, with a particular focus on typical ancient recipes handed down across the generations.
It uses exclusively authentic materials and top-quality ingredients with a unique, unmistakeable flavour, which are all carefully sourced and selected, and enhanced with our extra virgin olive oil.
In recent years, its oil, which belongs to the Cerasuola variety, has received numerous awards at international competitions.
One characteristic that sets Alicos apart is its policy of processing horticultural products in season; all of its products are processed when fresh, so as to preserve their fragrance and flavour as effectively as possible.
Each and every crop is overseen by technicians that specialise in the individual stages of the process: from the sowing to the harvesting, in accordance with its internal production policy, right up to the processing and, lastly, the packaging stage.
The vegetables are all harvested only when fully ripened, so as to ensure the finished product offers the best organoleptic characteristics possible, e.g. in terms of sweetness, colour, and flavour. The vegetables are then processed within just a few hours of being picked.
For the production process, only extra virgin olive oil is used.
